Auto Accidents The Do's & Dont's

Our office, Seattle Chiropractic and Wellness Center sees a significant amount of traumatic injuries resulting in neck pain, back pain, lower back pain, headaches, arm pain, leg pain, and fibromyalgia. We often times see a lot of the traumatic injuries resulting from car accidents and motor vehicle collisions.

Car accidents and motor vehicle collisions can lead to many problems not only in the short term but as well in the long term. They can cause a great deal of stress to the spine and nervous system but furthermore, on a personal level, they can also cause a lot of stress to the family and the individual involved in the car accident themselves.

Car accidents occur when we least expect them! When they happen – they happen! There is no warning and often times can be very damaging to property and life! It is often inevitable that one day in your life, you will get into an accident whether you are a passenger or the actual driver. In our office one of the things we do like to provide our patients with is an informative card explaining what to do after a car accident has occurred. These cards detail the accident as it happened and also provide ample writing space so that you can jot down everything about the accident as they occur.

These postcards have a small section that lists what needs to be done following a car accident and the DO’s and the Don’ts after an accident. It also lists the individuals names that were involved in the motor vehicle accident as well as the car insurance and vital demographic information collected. And one of the most important things we list in our vehicle collision postcard, is the map or drawing of what happened during and after the collision.

In the past few weeks, we have seen an increase in traumatic injuries because of motor vehicle collisions. Patients commonly call us first in the hopes that we may be able to help them relieve some of their pain and symptoms. And due to the increase and demand for our services after a motor vehicle accident, we decided to write this blog to explain some of the do’s and don'ts that are written in our postcard that may be helpful to our patients and for people who are looking to come into our office. We also wanted to invite those who would like a copy or copies of our postcards to contact us at (206) 826-1005 or email us. And of course, if you have been involved in a traumatic injury from a car accident or a whiplash injury, please do call us at (206) 826-1005 to schedule a consultation with the doctor.
